Romana had no qualms about killing. It was the only thing that she was truly good at. She got the mark, she asked no questions and did her job. Bing, bang, boom. Done. Easy and clean. The money wasn't half bad, either. A couple of more hits and she'd definitely have enough to retire on; but why retire when you're this good? Maybe she had a bit of an ego - but she's never come against anyone who's been her equal. And, after a little more than seven years in the business, she was starting to think that she never, ever, would.
Her phone buzzed obnoxiously on the bedside table, and she groaned in annoyance. "Fuck," Romana mumbles grumpily, having only just dropped off to sleep an hour before. According to the alarm clock, it was quarter past four. She runs a hand through mussed hair in an attempt to flatten it out of habit, then reaches for the mobile. It was a text, and there was an attachment. She loved this means of communication - she didn't even have to hear her handler's voice; everything was detached, Their arrangement working like a well oiled machine. Straight forward and simple. No need for meeting the people involved. Just a simple text with instructions and a jpg of the mark.
She clicks on the tiny red '1' notification, then scrolls through the information quickly, skimming over it in her sleep deprived state.
Romana's eyebrow skyrockets; this man's resume is impressive. Very impressive indeed. It's almost a shame, really, that someone so talented should be cut down in what seems to be the prime of their career. She was used to taking out thugs, business competitors, but no one quite so high profile as this. Unfortunately, the instructions clearly state that they want this man taken care of. ASAP.
